The world wouldn’t be the same without books. That’s why this week, along with schools in more than 100 different countries worldwide, we’ve been celebrating World Book Day! We are really excited to host another World Book Day at Tregoze where we can celebrate our love of reading together!

At Tregoze Primary School, we love to encourage our pupils to read. World Book Day is a fantastic opportunity to engage children with reading and share new books with our pupils. To celebrate the day pupils came in dressed as their favourite book characters; they could also come in wearing their pyjamas for an end-of-day storytime. We also ran a book-based café which was filled with tasty treats and facts about creating books.

We are also happy to announce through our sponsored reading event, which took place last year, we have been able to give the children a wider variety of books. they have thoroughly enjoyed being able to explore a greater range of diverse topics.

Books are a paper portal into another world. From fictional stories such as Harry Potter to historical works of philosophy like Leviathan, we believe there is a book for everyone.

Reading is not only important for learning but is also a wonderful hobby. Helping pupils become enthusiastic learners is a goal we forever strive towards at The White Horse Federation, and World Book Day is an important part of the journey.
